Hello, family!

Let’s start with the LEGO wreath—I’m on bag 7 of 9, and it’s been such a blast I went ahead and ordered the Notre Dame Cathedral set. It’s 4,383 pieces, so I should be happily buried in LEGO bricks until Spring.

Last weekend, I recorded 150 phrases on Sunday to create a digital version of my voice. It took overnight for the software to finish doing whatever it does to create my voice. I was going to send  an example,  but as I sit here, I have no idea how to share the audio with you. I know somebody who could help me.

On the same front, Nicole sent me some old voicemails I’d left her years ago—which, fun fact, millennials apparently don’t use. Thanks, Nicole for keeping them!  I’ll add them to the voice bank…I may need phone a friend for that as well.

Family news: Lis and her family are selling their home of 30+ years. It’s bittersweet, they’re leaving Virginia and their social circle to be closer to the grand kids in Maryland. It’s been so easy to see her when we went east for our visits. Frederick, MD is just far enough away to make it difficult for us to visit.

On the Fence Lake front, we’ve been talking about some updates to make things wheelchair-friendly for me. After 45 years of summers up north, I guess I’ll be the first one rolling in. Not sure how I feel about it, but if I’m going to have wheels, I might as well embrace it with a smile.

Last night’s luau at the Balasi’s was a success. The idea started in St. Maarten (over poolside piña coladas, naturally), and we recreated the vibe with Breaker Mai Tai’s and plenty of sweet coconut cocktails (and rum floaters). Big thanks to Barb and Mark for hosting and to Donna for always capturing group photos—it’s not a party without photographic evidence!

That’s it for now—have a great Saturday, everyone, and don’t forget to make time for the things (and people) you love!

Love you guys!❤️
