Welcome to Monday! If you’re in the midsection of the U.S., then you have/are experiencing a good amount of snow. Be safe!
It was a quiet Sunday as I thought it would be. I bounced around doing various paperwork projects. Watched the Bears finally win in Green Bay…1st time since 2018. Our neighbor Fred gave me more reading material. I hope I’m not as busy as last year, when I didn’t read a single book until May. I think I still finished about 30+ books last year.
As many of you know, I’ve had some troubles working my thumbs where occasionally I can’t fasten buttons. This has been a nuisance since August and there are handy devices to get past this problem. Well, last night it was the unfastening that wasn’t working on the pantaloons. I managed to undo the button after 10 or so minutes. I did consider cutting the button off or just going to bed with my pants on as an alternative. Fortunately, this was a quiet activity (except for the swearing in my mind) and I didn’t wake Cindy up in the process.
On a disappointing note, I’ve learned that two of my brothers have the genetic mutation that is linked to ALS. They have no signs or symptoms of ALS, but it will always be a worry in the back of their mind that it could present itself at any moment. Sometimes knowing is worse than not knowing…there is not a thing they can do to prevent the disease. I’m thankful they are healthy other than age related stuff. “As siblings, we’re all in this together” was brother Bill’s reply. 🥲
Everybody have a happy Monday.
Love you guys!❤️
