Tuesday, March 25, 2025 - Day 224
Tuesday, March 25, 2025
Good morning, friends and family!
Life keeps moving forward, and I’m doing my best to keep pace. I’ve been buried in tax paperwork longer than I probably should be, but at least I know the finish line is near. Looking back at last year, it was the month of May before I even picked up my first book of 2024. Reading has been my escape—an adventure that can take me anywhere in the world. Soon enough, I’ll trade tax forms for pages of fiction and other activities that require minimal physical effort. If I run out of things to occupy my mind, I suppose I could always become a mobile gaming champion. I just need to keep my mind active since I can’t keep the body active.
Yesterday was proof that warmer days are ahead. The landscapers were here most of the day tackling the Spring cleanup, and before long, flowers will be in full bloom. Soon, we’ll be able to lounge outside, soaking up the sun getting the early season sunburn. I can’t wait! Of course, with the beauty of Spring comes the inevitable arrival of weeds. I could try pulling some myself, but that means crawling around on all fours and then standing up…I think that might be the biggest challenge. Too bad I got rid of all my old jeans during the February closet purge. Oh well…I’ll use what I have and when I’m out of clean jeans…a shopping trip can take place. Costco…here I come…this time with a motorized cart!!
I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has been so incredibly helpful these past few months. You’ve been our cooks, movers, ride-share drivers, drinking companions, fundraisers, party planners, handymen, blog supporters, ALS researchers, dog sitters, golf partners, cane makers, and—most importantly—a rock to lean on. Your generosity and kindness haven’t gone unnoticed, and I hope you know how much you’re appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you do.
On the home front, life is feeling almost normal again. We had our cleaning person here yesterday and she worked hard getting the house clean…it will certainly help Cindy relax and give some time to do something fun…just for her Sure, there are still some loose ends to tie up, but let’s be honest—a home is never truly “finished.” It evolves along with the people in it. That said, I’ll gladly take a pause to enjoy the warm weather as it rolls in.
One more thing—I’ve now had just over a week of bidet experience, and let’s just say I’ve mastered the art. Like anything in life, there was a learning curve, but daily practice has made perfect. It was definitely good advice to install, and it has made life much easier—no more trigger fingers, and no more TP runs. Now, if only Cindy would give it a try. Of course, she may never tell me, and I respect the sacred nature of bathroom privacy. So, I’ll stay mum about her bum.
It’s Tuesday tax day…so it’s time for me to get ready. It’s a shower day…so this will take over an hour…have to get my hair all coiffed into that stylish “messy look”

Have a great Tuesday.
Love you guys!❤️
