Saturday, January 3, 2026 – Day 508
Saturday, January 3, 2026
Good morning, everyone.
As I mentioned the other day, 15 runners are signed up to run the Chicago Marathon on October 11, 2026, supporting ALS United under the team name Andy’s Army.
Many of them are first-time marathoners, which makes this even more meaningful. My ask is simple: let’s help them succeed—by getting them to the finish line, helping them raise beaucoup $$, and making sure they have fun along the way.
The race is 280 days from today. We’d love to blanket the course with cheering voices, handmade signs, cowbells, and encouragement—whatever it takes to lift these runners when the miles get hard.
Please mark October 11, 2026 on your calendar and consider being part of this day as we come together to support this cause and push toward a cure for ALS…aka a truly shitty disease.
This team is running for people like me—people who can’t run—and for the people behind the scenes: those we call Angels, who show up every day providing ALS patients with a guiding light, a steady hand to hold, and an embracing hug when all feels lost.
Every mile they run is a statement that ALS doesn’t get the last word. Not today. Not on that course. Not ever.
As of January 2, current fundraising for Andy’s Army stands at $5,747—and we’re just getting started.
To donate, click on the hamburger menu in the top right of this page, select the Fundraiser link, and go from there.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for whatever you are able to do.
Have a great Saturday.
Love you guys! ❤️
