Tuesday, January 13, 2026 – Day 518
Tuesday, January 13, 2026
Good morning, everyone.
It’s an important day. Today is Cindy’s birthday. 🎉🎂🥳🎈 Let’s find a safe port in this ALS storm and celebrate Cindy all day long.
So I’m asking for something simple—and something important. Please reach out to her. Flood her phone with texts. Leave messages. Post on Facebook. Use whatever corner of the internet you inhabit to say happy birthday. For one full day, let’s gather up the dark clouds of ALS, lock them away, and give her uninterrupted sunshine. ☀️
It’s also fitting that today is a Tuesday.
When Cindy and I met on a blind date—courtesy of two sisters, Kathy and Heidi—22 years ago this coming February 17, it was a Tuesday. That detail became important, because our next dates were also on Tuesdays. This naturally raised some suspicion on Cindy’s part. She started wondering if I had a girl for every night of the week.
When she finally asked, I told her the simple truth: Tuesday was the only night I didn’t have the kids.
That sealed the deal. From that point on, Cindy became my Tuesday girl. And just over a year later, she became my everyday girl when we were married on August 9, 2005, in Napa… drum roll… wait for it… on a Tuesday.
So today—Tuesday, January 13—let’s love Cindy as warmly as she loves everyone else and make this day cheerful, bright, and filled with love.
Have a great Tuesday. Love you guys! ❤️
