From the moment we received the “shitty diagnosis” of ALS our hearts broke. We couldn’t believe it was true. We wanted it to be anything but ALS because we knew how his story would end. The diagnosis left us with no reason to hope.

A recent New York Times article told the story of a woman with ALS. Her story sounds all too familiar with the exception of one thing … her story gives us hope. It’s a tiny, tiny glimmer of hope but it’s something.
